VIDEO: Are You SURE You Don't Need a REALTOR®?

This video was produced by Florida Realtors®.
So you're going to buy a home without using a Realtor. Write this down. You have to figure out how much you can afford. Check your credit report. List and market your home. Clean and prep your home for showings. Negotiate the contract. Find an attorney to review the contract. Hire an attorney or a title company to complete the closing.
Find a mortgage lender. Get pre-approved for a mortgage and decide where you want to live. Check local schools. Check property taxes. Go to open houses. Figure out how much you can offer. Submit the offer. Complete a mortgage application, order an inspection, then negotiate the repairs, have the property surveyed, order a title search. Get title insurance. Get flood insurance.
Calculate closing costs and how much you bring to the table. Conduct a final walk through. And you, you're going to do all that? Before you sell your home. Or you find the one of your dreams. Call a Realtor, okay. And ask them if they are a Realtor.
